Affordable Care Act Back in Court, King v. Burrell, What Alternative?

The Affordable Care Act heads back to court. Currently, 11.4 million Americans have quality health insurance under the ACA. If not, the Affordable Care Act as the best option for health insurance for millions of Americans then what is the alternative?

Senator Tim Kaine released the following statement as oral arguments in King v. Burrell began at the United States Court of the Appeals for the Fourth Circuit:

“The latest effort to attack the Affordable Care Act in court is particularly heartless. The case being heard today involves an effort to strip health care subsidies away from millions of Americans – including more than 300,000 eligible Virginians – that have enabled many people to have health insurance for the first time in their lives. I hope the court follows the clear language of the statute and rejects the effort to push people back into the ranks of the vulnerable uninsured.”
