When the 2011 College Football season started, the Hokies of Virginia Tech were highly ranked and expected to participate in a major bowl game.  Meanwhile,  Virginia finished the regular season with some huge wins en route to an 8-4 record and were rewarded with an appearance in the Chick-Fil-A Bowl.  Surely a great experience for the young Cavaliers despite a 43-24 loss to 25th-ranked Auburn.  In New Orleans, the No. 11 Hokies will face the Michigan Wolverines in the All-State Sugar Bowl on Tuesday night on ESPN.  Michigan is ranked 12th in the BCS.
