The “Caylee Law” Comes to VA
Virginia will adopt the “Caylee Law” while 32 other states have signed on to adopt this law. The “Caylee Law” would make it a felony if a parent or guardian doesn’t notify police about a missing child within 24 hours after the child goes missing.
Virginia Senator Houck plans to introduce legislation at next year’s Virginia’s General Assembly. If the bill passes, it must be signed into law by Governor Bob McDonnell.
